Dealerships, dealer groups and manufacturers across the country have been using Showroom Traffic Manager for over 20 years to increase their sales, and identify, improve and manage each step of the showroom sales process.

Stephen Rumm developed the first version of Showroom Traffic Manager in the 1980's. While working at Toyota, he noticed that traditional dealer management systems were lacking a key feature – the ability to track and measure activity on the showroom floor. Because this information was missing, manufacturers weren't able to get accurate data. And because dealerships couldn't accurately evaluate and analyze their performance, training, mentoring and managing their sales staff was an ongoing challenge.

He found that a focus on showroom traffic, combined with a management score "snapshot", solved those problems. Dealerships were able to use this information to evaluate and train their salespeople, and to predict how they, and the dealership as a whole, would perform over time. Dealerships who started using the system saw increased closing ratios, and were better able to manage their sales staff.

Rumm joined with a team of automotive sales experts, computer designers, and customer support staff to develop the current version of Showroom Traffic Manager. Functionality was expanded to provide composite data for dealer groups, and to enable manufacturers to track their performance across multiple dealerships.

But we're not done yet! We are constantly developing new features – automatically available to all of our clients via internet – based on client feedback. Our goal is to create a system that is tailored to the real world needs of our clients and that, ultimately, lets them manage better, and sell more.
